A few nights ago, after Holden was all tucked in, Jared and I were just sitting on the couch talking and getting ready for bed. And Jared made a comment about how you could tell how big Holden was getting by how high up the smudges on the wall and tv were starting to appear. Tears instantly welled up in my eyes because it reminded me of the quote above.

I told him that I could deal with the smudges.
